GAEA Technologies is pleased to announce the release of WinLoG Validation & QA/QC, included in WinLoG version 10 at no additional cost, bringing automated data-quality checks to borehole and well logging workflows.

Reliable logs depend on reliable underlying data. Missing sample identifiers, inconsistent measurements, and conflicting observations can be difficult to spot during routine review. WinLoG Validation & QA/QC helps identify these issues before logs are issued and documents the findings for technical review.

WinLoG applies domain-specific, completeness, and cross-dataset rules to structured borehole and well information. These checks evaluate both individual entries and the relationships between lithology, samples, laboratory results, groundwater, and construction records.

The WinLoG Validation & QA/QC Example Library includes eight examples showing how automated checks apply to different investigation types.

Geotechnical and transportation examples demonstrate checks involving SPT N-values, sample recovery, soil classification, laboratory results, pavement, and subgrade data.

Rock-core examples examine core-run intervals and relationships between recovery, RQD, SCR, and TCR.

Environmental and groundwater examples address sample identifiers, field screening, laboratory criteria, well-component depths, and water-level observations.
