Current development priorities targeted for the remainder of 2026.

In Development

Migration Center — Stage 1

The next stage of the Migration Center is focused on making it easier to move historical and external project information into current GAEA workflows using more consistent, guided processes.

  • Improved import and export workflows
  • Government well database information imported into projects
  • Import of gINT project lists and template-related information
  • Expanded AGS and DIGGS project import/export capabilities
  • More consistent migration workflows across supported data sources
Target release period: Late 2026

Why migration remains a major development focus

Many organizations retain valuable project information in legacy databases, older GAEA versions, gINT projects, spreadsheets, structured exchange files and historical archives. The Migration Center is intended to reduce the friction and risk involved in bringing that information into current, reviewable workflows.

Planned for 2027

Current development direction following the 2026 migration work.

Planned

Migration Center — Stage 2

Stage 2 is expected to extend migration, conversion and interoperability capabilities using lessons from Stage 1, customer projects and additional legacy data sources.

  • OCR-assisted conversion of paper, scanned and PDF boring and well logs
  • Structured extraction of historical log information into current GAEA data formats
  • Recognition of common log fields, intervals, descriptions and tabular information
  • Human review and correction before imported data is committed to a project
  • Expanded legacy-project conversion and migration workflows
  • Additional interoperability and data-quality checks during migration
  • Clear exception reporting when source information cannot be interpreted reliably

The objective is to reduce manual re-entry while maintaining a reviewable migration process for historical and legacy information.

Target: 2027
Planned

WinLoG Governed QA/QC — Stage 2

Stage 2 is expected to build on WinLoG's automated validation engine with stronger governance, review and accountability for organizations that need consistent QA/QC procedures across users, offices and projects.

  • Configurable organizational QA/QC policies and rule sets
  • Standard validation profiles for project, client or regulatory requirements
  • Formal review, approval and resolution workflows for findings
  • User roles for preparation, technical review and approval
  • Audit trails showing when findings were identified, reviewed and resolved
  • Version-aware revalidation after log or data changes
  • Project-level QA/QC status and outstanding-issue summaries

The goal is to provide a governed process for documenting how data-quality issues are reviewed and resolved.

Target: 2027
Planned

GaeaSynergy Visualization

Planned visualization enhancements will expand how geological, geotechnical and environmental information can be reviewed together within GaeaSynergy, with a focus on clearer project interpretation and integrated spatial understanding.

  • Expanded integrated project visualization
  • Improved presentation of subsurface and project data
  • Closer connections between project data, GIS, cross-sections and 3D views
  • More efficient visual review of multidisciplinary datasets
  • Improved navigation between maps, sections, stations, samples and project records
  • More consistent visual presentation across geological, geotechnical and environmental datasets
  • Improved tools for comparing related information across project views

The goal is to make GaeaSynergy a more effective environment for reviewing complex project information spatially and across disciplines.

Target: 2027
Planned

AI-Assisted Support

GAEA plans to introduce AI-assisted support tools that help customers find answers faster while keeping product documentation, established workflows and technical support as the authoritative foundation.

  • Natural-language access to manuals, tutorials and Knowledge Center content
  • Step-by-step guidance for common workflows and configuration tasks
  • Help interpreting validation messages, import issues and common errors
  • Context-aware suggestions based on the product and workflow being used
  • Guided troubleshooting before escalation to human support
  • Support for future multilingual help and customer guidance
  • Clear escalation paths for engineering, licensing and account-specific issues

AI assistance is intended to complement, not replace, GAEA's technical support.

Target: 2027
Planned

Multi-Language Support

GAEA plans to expand language support to make software, guidance and customer-facing resources more accessible to international users while preserving technical terminology and engineering context.

  • Localized user-interface text where practical
  • Expanded multilingual help, tutorials and product guidance
  • Support for international customers, distributors and project teams
  • Consistent handling of technical terminology across supported languages
  • Language-aware support content that complements AI-assisted help
  • Phased implementation based on customer demand and technical feasibility
  • Consistent terminology across software, documentation and training resources

Initial language priorities can be guided by customer concentration, distributor needs and the regions where localized support would provide the greatest benefit.

Target: 2027 and beyond

Future Direction

Longer-term areas that support GAEA's international customer base and connected technical workflows.

Future

Workflow & Interoperability Improvements

Ongoing development will continue to focus on reducing repeated data entry, improving interoperability, simplifying migration and strengthening connections between GAEA applications and supported industry data formats.

Roadmap Notice

This roadmap reflects GAEA Technologies' current development priorities and expected direction. Features, scope, sequencing and target release periods may change based on development progress, customer feedback, technical requirements and evolving industry needs.
