Each GaeaSynergy 3D view stores a presentation of selected project information. Users can inspect spatial relationships from different directions, simplify the scene by hiding unneeded categories and preserve useful views for later communication.

Vertical Exaggeration

Increase or reduce the vertical scale relative to horizontal scale to examine subtle elevation changes.

Build and Inspect Geological Solids

GaeaSynergy can generate a solid stratum when the interpreted top and bottom are defined by compatible contour maps. The resulting volume can be displayed with the surrounding project information.

  • Use top and bottom contour maps to define the solid
  • Compare the volume with boreholes and cross-sections
  • Rotate the solid and add more than one cutout
  • Adjust cutout size to expose internal detail
  • Use scene visibility to isolate the solid under review
Model-quality note: A solid inherits the assumptions and limitations of its source surfaces. Review data coverage, interpolation, boundary interpretation and surface compatibility before relying on the volume.
