This example shows how WinLoG applies automated QA/QC to a transportation investigation for Highway 7 Eastbound at Station 12+450. BH-05 TRANS-QAQC combines pavement and granular-base descriptions, native subgrade, sampling, SPT N-values, recovery, USCS/AASHTO classification, groundwater, moisture, optimum moisture, CBR, and sieve results in one agency-oriented log.
The borehole intentionally contains selected data-quality issues so WinLoG can demonstrate traceability errors and transportation engineering review conditions. The validation demonstrates both general sample QA/QC and transportation-specific rules for wet or weak subgrade.
The example contains deliberate data-quality exceptions rather than only idealized data. One sample identifier is missing, another is duplicated, the native subgrade moisture is materially above optimum, and the measured CBR is below the example design criterion.
The sample XML is configured with 2 errors and 2 warnings so the borehole log and validation report demonstrate how WinLoG identifies, documents, and communicates conditions requiring correction or engineering review.
