This example demonstrates how WinLoG combines professional borehole logging with automated validation and QA/QC. The borehole intentionally contains realistic data-quality issues so the validation engine can identify conditions requiring correction, review, or documentation before the record is finalized.
The example combines soil, SPT, laboratory, groundwater, and rock-core information in a single borehole and demonstrates how WinLoG compares related datasets rather than validating each field in isolation.
The example does not contain only "perfect" data. It intentionally includes realistic inconsistencies that allow WinLoG to demonstrate automated validation. Examples include relationships between RQD, SCR and TCR, unusual SPT and moisture combinations, groundwater and water-content relationships, and laboratory consistency checks.
Each detected condition can be documented with a rule ID, severity, affected depth, actual and expected values, explanation, potential cause, and suggested resolution.
